A Stranger's Pain...

I cried a cry

'Cos a hurt just weighed me down

But the hurt that hurt

Wasn't one to call my own.

A strangers pain

Tugged at the strings that held my heart

Until the anchor

To my feelings pulled apart

And up and out and on those feelings went

Invisible to the one whose tears had wrenched

The final strands of hope

From a weary soul

Their feelings crushed

My own too distant to console.
